Reginald A. Neuwein, Jr. LTC (Ret) Reginald A. Neuwien Jr. "Skip," 74, of Enterprise, AL, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011, following a courageous battle with a long-term illness at SAMC, he was surrounded by his loving family.
Memorial services for Skip Neuwien will be held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Searcy Funeral Home in Enterprise, AL with Reverend Matt Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org. Skip was born September 23, 1936 in Stamford, Connecticut. He was an Army Aviator and a Vietnam Veteran who served our country over twenty years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1982.
Following his retirement from the Army, Skip worked for McDonnell Douglas and then Honeywell, Inc. in research and development to further support the military and their cause to protect America. He retired from Honeywell in 1997. His heart belonged to his family and his country. He loved to play golf and brag about his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Reginald and Grace Neuwien. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Susan Wilson Neuwien; three daughters, Shell Neuwien Robertson of Enterprise, AL; Stacy Neuwien Rowland and her husband Michael of Vest-avia Hills, AL; Shawn Neuwien Dunaway and her husband Tommy of Enterprise, AL; one son, Reginald A. Neuwien III (Skip) and his wife Natalie of Enterprise, AL; nine amazing grandchildren, Ryan Robertson, Katie Rowland, Ma-ggie Rowland, Blake Duna-way, Brooke Dunaway, Brett Dunaway, Samantha Neuwien, Sarabeth Neu-wien and Sydney Neuwien.
